Character Study Launch
This month, we are excited to launch Character Study, a new biblical study series focused on learning from influential biblical figures and the life patterns they demonstrated over time. We begin with Solomon, studying his life from youth through leadership and later years. Participants can opt into Daily Devotions, access worksheets, and follow along throughout the month.
The objective is simple: learn from those who came before us and apply those lessons to our own lives over time.
Assessment Growth & Awareness
Through May, 22 individuals have completed the FamilyTHINK Assessment. While these are humble beginnings, we remain committed to growing intentionally through relationships and word of mouth.
After completing the assessment, participants are encouraged to invite members of their inner circle so growth can extend beyond the individual and into the family system and surrounding community.
Website & Community Growth
At the beginning of the year, FamilyTHINK started with essentially zero website traffic and awareness. Through May, engagement has steadily increased through referrals, returning visitors, and relationship-based growth.
Recent Google Analytics trends show:
• 69 active users
• 67 new users
• 589 page views
• Returning users increased by 290%
One of the most encouraging trends continues to be returning visitors, suggesting people are returning to learn, reflect, and engage with the FamilyTHINK framework over time.
Assessment Orientation Feedback
We have received positive feedback from individuals who completed their Assessment Orientation sessions. These conversations continue helping participants better understand their results while providing additional clarity across the four pillars of wealth: Finance, Social, Health, and Time.
If you have completed the assessment but have not yet scheduled your orientation, we encourage you to do so. The orientation serves as a guided introduction to the FamilyTHINK framework and the tools available to support your growth.
Currently, 14 assessment participants receive LegacyTHINK Weekly, where we continue exploring assessment concepts and practical applications.
Website Improvements & LegacyTHINK Archive
This month included updates to the FamilyTHINK website experience, improvements to the Assessment Readout, and continued refinement of the FamilyTHINK framework.
The LegacyTHINK Archive is now available, allowing readers to revisit previous monthly content, mastery topics, assessment concepts, and Person of Influence features as the library continues to grow.
Community Discussion Development
We are also exploring future community discussion features that will allow members to engage, ask questions, and share insights. As development continues, our focus remains on creating an environment built on safety, respect, and meaningful interaction.
Looking Ahead
As we move through June, our goals are simple:
• Complete 1 assessment per week
• Introduce FamilyTHINK to 5 new people per week
• Add 1–2 new Daily Devotion participants each week
We will also begin early development of the FamilyTHINK App, which is designed to help individuals track progress across the four pillars of wealth and receive ongoing feedback as they pursue excellence over time.
Partnership & Future Expansion
FamilyTHINK will continue growing through intentional relationships, community connections, and word of mouth. Later this year, we plan to begin reaching out to business owners and community leaders as we continue expanding the FamilyTHINK ecosystem.
If you are interested in partnering with FamilyTHINK or referring someone who may benefit from the assessment and growth framework, we would be grateful to connect with you.
This month, we will explore Readiness through the Priority Framework, the beginning stages of Mastery, the life and legacy of Kyle Busch, and lessons from Solomon through our new Character Study series.
Last month we introduced the FamilyTHINK Priority Framework and explored Urgent and Important. This month, we focus on Readiness.
Readiness is how prepared or capable you feel to act right now.
Knowing something is important does not mean you are ready to do it. You may have a task on your calendar, understand its value, and even know the consequences of ignoring it. Yet when the moment arrives, you may lack the resources, confidence, energy, or ability to move forward.
Readiness influences performance.
Within FamilyTHINK, preparation is one of the strongest indicators of readiness. While preparation does not guarantee success, it often increases your ability to perform when action is required.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is to continually improve your capabilities so that when the moment arrives, you can act with confidence and consistency.
Throughout this month’s LegacyTHINK Weekly content, we will continue exploring readiness and how it impacts decisions, performance, and long-term growth across the four pillars of wealth.
Every master begins as a beginner.
FamilyTHINK defines a Beginner as someone with 0–50 hours of exposure, observation, and practice in a specific area. The first stage of mastery is awareness. Before someone can improve, they must first become aware that something exists and that growth is possible. Awareness often leads to curiosity. Curiosity leads to questions. Questions lead to learning. Learning eventually leads to action.
This is where the journey begins. The first 50 hours are important because they help establish habits, standards, expectations, and direction. The quality of those early experiences can significantly influence future growth. This is also why mentors, coaches, teachers, and positive examples are valuable. They help beginners avoid unnecessary mistakes and develop strong foundations from the start.
Not every area of life requires mastery. Some areas only require awareness or competence. However, every area of mastery begins with the same first step: getting started. Before someone becomes an expert, they must first become a beginner. The goal of the first 50 hours is not perfection. The goal is learning, exploration, and building a foundation that can support future growth.
For this month’s Person of Influence, we take a look at Kyle Busch, one of the most competitive and accomplished drivers in NASCAR history. Busch became known for his intensity, consistency, technical skill, and ability to compete at a high level year after year. His story reflects mastery, resilience, family influence, and the importance of preparation both on and off the track.
His unexpected passing at age 41 also serves as a reminder that life can change quickly, even for people operating at the highest level of their profession.
Name: Kyle Thomas Busch
Birth Month, Year: May 1985
Age at Death: 41
Field of Work: Professional Motorsports Driver, Team Owner, Entrepreneur
Parents: Tom Busch and Gaye Busch
Early Life
Kyle Busch was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, into a family deeply connected to racing and mechanics. His father, Tom Busch, worked as a mechanic and local racer, while his mother, Gaye Busch, helped support the family's racing ambitions. Kyle's older brother, Kurt Busch, became one of his earliest influences and established a competitive standard within the household.
The Busch family environment centered around vehicles, competition, mechanical skill, and racing culture. As Kyle developed professionally, he learned from respected competitors throughout NASCAR, including influences such as Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart.
Biggest Challenge to Overcome
One of Busch's greatest challenges was overcoming a major crash during the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway. The accident resulted in significant injuries, including fractures to his right leg and left foot.
Many questioned whether he would return at the same level. Instead, Busch rehabilitated, returned later that season, and won his first NASCAR Cup Series championship, creating one of the most memorable comebacks in modern NASCAR history.
Notable Success
Kyle Busch built one of the most successful careers in NASCAR history. He won multiple NASCAR Cup Series championships and became known for his ability to compete successfully across multiple racing series.
Beyond driving, Busch founded Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), a successful truck series organization focused on driver development and competitive excellence. In 2023, KBM was sold to Spire Motorsports, demonstrating the long-term value he built through the organization.
Busch and his wife Samantha also developed charitable initiatives, including the Bundle of Joy Fund, helping families pursuing fertility treatments.
Public reports estimated Busch's net worth between approximately $80 million and $100 million at the time of his death.
Legacy
Kyle Busch is survived by his wife Samantha Busch, son Brexton Busch, daughter Lennix Busch, brother Kurt Busch, and parents Tom and Gaye Busch.
His influence extends beyond championships and statistics. Busch helped develop younger drivers, contributed to NASCAR's growth, built successful businesses, and created systems that continued beyond his driving career.
His story highlights the importance of emergency readiness, family preparation, and building structures that can continue serving others after transition.

Mastery Takeaway
Kyle Busch operated at an elite mastery level for decades. Professional racing requires precision, repetition, emotional control, technical understanding, and the ability to perform under pressure for thousands of hours over many years.
His championships, business success, mentorship, and long-term consistency reflected disciplined repetition and continual improvement over time.
Steve's Takeaway
Kyle Busch's story reinforces two important ideas: mastery requires dedication, and emergency readiness matters. Although success and wealth cannot prevent every tragedy, preparation can help families remain stable through unexpected transition.
His life demonstrates that excellence can create opportunity, but preparation helps sustain those we leave behind.
