Survival

What Survival Means

Life feels unpredictable and overwhelming. Daily responsibilities, habits, and routines are difficult to maintain, and stress is often high.

Progress begins with one stable pattern. Creating a single reliable habit or routine brings the first sense of control and stability.

Level 1 Emergency Response

A Level 1 emergency disrupts the stable daily pattern you are working to establish and slows forward progression. Consistency may waver temporarily, but the pattern is still recoverable.

Restore one repeatable daily action the same day to protect momentum.

Level 2 Emergency Response

A Level 2 emergency strains the stable daily pattern across a weekly cycle and weakens forward progression. Without reinforcement, consistency begins to erode and momentum slows.

Stabilize one daily action immediately and protect it consistently throughout the disruption.

Level 3 Emergency Response

A Level 3 emergency destroys the stable daily pattern you were working to establish. Forward progression stalls as consistency collapses over a sustained period.

Without structured reinforcement, instability deepens. Outside (qualified) help is highly recommended while rebuilding one simple repeatable daily action.

Level 4 Emergency Response

A Level 4 emergency destroys the stable daily pattern and prolongs instability across essential areas of life. Forward progression pauses as foundational consistency is disrupted. Without intervention, recovery becomes increasingly difficult (almost impossible).

Outside help is highly recommended (maybe required) while restoring one simple daily action before expanding focus.

Next Steps

The goal of the Survival life cycle is to establish stable patterns. As consistency grows, you build the foundation needed to progress to Security.

Security

What Security Means

Life is functioning, but very close to the line. Some days go well, but disruptions easily throw things off. Progress begins with margin. Even small buffers in time, money, health, or relationships allow life to breathe and reduce constant pressure.

Level 1 Emergency Response

A Level 1 emergency places short-term pressure on your margin while stable patterns remain intact. Forward progression slows slightly, but structure remains protected.

Contain the disruption quickly to prevent unnecessary margin depletion.

Level 2 Emergency Response

A Level 2 emergency weakens your protective margin across a weekly cycle. As margin narrows, stable patterns become more exposed and regression becomes possible.

Reinforce protective buffers immediately to prevent movement back toward Survival.

Level 3 Emergency Response

A Level 3 emergency collapses protective margin over a sustained period. Stable patterns become directly exposed and forward progression stalls. Regression toward Survival becomes likely without intervention.

Strengthen essential priorities immediately to prevent structural instability.

Level 4 Emergency Response

A Level 4 emergency destroys protective margin and dismantles stable patterns. Forward progression halts as foundational protection is removed. Regression toward Survival becomes highly likely without external intervention.

Outside help is highly recommended to rebuild margin and restore structural protection.

Next Steps

The goal of the Security life cycle is to build margin. As your margin grows, you create space between you and life's disruptions, allowing you to progress toward Stability.

Stability

What Stability Means

Life follows a predictable rhythm most weeks. Routines are forming, plans are often completed, and momentum is building. Progress begins with structure. Clear routines, boundaries, and systems turn consistency into dependability.

Level 1 Emergency Response

A Level 1 emergency tests your structure but does not immediately compromise margin or stable patterns. Forward progression slows slightly while reliability is evaluated.

Reinforce structural consistency quickly to prevent small cracks from widening.

Level 2 Emergency Response

A Level 2 emergency strains your structure across a weekly cycle and reduces flexibility. As strain increases, margin becomes more dependent on structural integrity.

Strengthen routines and reinforce consistency before structural fatigue develops.

Level 3 Emergency Response

A Level 3 emergency breaks structural reliability over a sustained period. Margin becomes exposed and forward progression stalls. Regression toward Security becomes possible without intervention.

Rebuild core structure immediately to protect margin and stability.

Level 4 Emergency Response

A Level 4 emergency destroys structure and consumes protective margin. Stable patterns are disrupted and progression halts. Regression toward Security becomes likely without decisive correction.

Outside help is strongly recommended to rebuild structure and restore reliability.

Next Steps

The goal of the Stability life cycle is to build structure. Structure protects the stable patterns and margin you've worked hard to create. Without structure, emergencies can quickly consume your progress. With structure, you add another layer of protection that helps preserve your consistency and momentum.

Think of it like keeping your money in a drawer versus a bank account. Money in a drawer is easier to lose, damage, or have stolen. Money in a bank is protected. Structure does the same thing—it helps protect what you've built and prepares you to progress toward Success.

Success

What Success Means

Life is supported by systems that work for you. Time, health, money, and relationships are protected so you can operate at a high level without constant correction. Progress begins with strengthening systems. The focus shifts to reinforcing what works so performance stays steady as responsibility grows.

Level 1 Emergency Response

A Level 1 emergency tests your operating systems but does not disrupt structure or margin. Performance slows slightly while adjustments are made.

Refine system execution quickly to prevent inefficiencies from compounding.

Level 2 Emergency Response

A Level 2 emergency strains your operating systems across a weekly cycle. Efficiency declines and performance capacity narrows.

Strengthen system execution and eliminate inefficiencies before fatigue sets in.

Level 3 Emergency Response

A Level 3 emergency breaks operating systems over a sustained period. Performance declines and structural pressure increases. Forward progression slows as systems require redesign.

Rebuild core systems deliberately before attempting renewed expansion.

Level 4 Emergency Response

A Level 4 emergency collapses operating systems and destabilizes structural reliability. Performance capacity declines and margin becomes vulnerable. Regression toward Stability becomes possible without decisive correction.

Outside help is strongly recommended to rebuild systems and restore structural integrity.

Next Steps

The goal of the Success life cycle is to build systems. Systems use your stable patterns, margin, and structure to create consistent results with less manual effort. As your systems strengthen, they begin working for you instead of depending on you for every decision and action.

Strong systems create the capacity to move beyond personal success and into Significance, where you can begin adding value to others while your systems continue supporting what you've built.

significance

What Significance Means

Life runs smoothly and creates room to positively influence others. Your habits and systems support your family, team, and community, not just yourself. Progress begins with intentional transition. You still manage what you’ve built while investing in others and providing skip-level guidance to help them rise.

Level 1 Emergency Response

A Level 1 emergency tests your influence systems or lightly strains your inner circle. Structure and margin remain strong, and transfer remains intact.

Stabilize quickly to protect continuity and maintain steady leadership.

Level 2 Emergency Response

A Level 2 emergency strains influence systems or places stress on your inner circle across a weekly cycle. Transfer pathways tighten, but structure remains intact.

Strengthen communication and reinforce system stability to prevent downstream strain.

Level 3 Emergency Response

A Level 3 emergency breaks influence systems or places sustained strain on your inner circle. Transfer becomes inconsistent and leadership load increases. Forward expansion pauses while stabilization is required.

Reinforce systems and strengthen your inner circle before resuming broader growth.

Level 4 Emergency Response

A Level 4 emergency disrupts influence systems or deeply destabilizes your inner circle. Transfer pathways weaken and structural continuity is threatened. If prolonged beyond 12 months, regression toward Success becomes possible.

Outside help is strongly recommended to restore stability and protect long-term transfer.

Next Steps

The goal of the Significance life cycle is to focus on transfer. Your stable patterns, margin, structure, and systems allow you to invest your time in others. As you train and develop people who understand your vision, success begins to multiply beyond what you could accomplish alone.

Transfer creates the foundation for Transition, where your trusted inner circle is prepared to carry the vision forward while you move into an advisory role.

Transition

What Transition Means

Life is guided by purpose, preparation, and stewardship. What you have built is organized and transferred to those you have helped reach significance. Progress begins with advisory leadership. Your role shifts to consultation, protection of values, and skip-level mentorship—supporting both your successor and their beneficiaries so what you built continues with clarity and confidence.

Level 1 Emergency Response

A Level 1 emergency tests your transfer chain without disrupting long-term performance. Your inner circle responds to the disruption while stability remains intact across the people and systems you oversee.

Confirm alignment and provide guidance only where needed to maintain continuity.

Level 2 Emergency Response

A Level 2 emergency tests communication and coordination across your inner circle over a weekly cycle. Minor strain may appear in one layer, but the transfer chain continues to function as designed.

Reinforce communication, clarify roles, and help your inner circle stabilize resource flow before strain compounds.

Level 3 Emergency Response

A Level 3 emergency places sustained pressure on your inner circle and tests the strength of the how they manage the  systems and leadership you've transferred. One area may struggle while others provide reinforcement, limiting the impact on the overall vision.

Support your inner circle through advisement, stabilize each layer intentionally, and restore predictable transfer before resuming growth.

Level 4 Emergency Response

A Level 4 emergency places prolonged pressure on your transfer chain and threatens long-term continuity across multiple layers. Coordination may weaken, leadership transitions may be tested, and alignment with your vision can begin to drift if left unaddressed. If prolonged beyond 12 months, regression becomes possible even at this level.

Outside help is strongly recommended. At the Transition life cycle, that outside help is often YOU stepping back into the organization to restore oversight, strengthen coordination, realign the vision, and help your inner circle regain stability before returning to your advisory role.

Next Steps

The goal of the Transition life cycle is advisement. At this stage, your vision is supported by your inner circle and their inner circles through skip-level leadership. Your focus shifts from building and managing to protecting, guiding, and helping future generations continue what you've established.

As your influence grows, periodically evaluate your transfer process, leadership alignment, and generational stewardship to ensure your vision continues with clarity and confidence.

Next Steps

Where do I start?

Your next step is simple: begin creating SMART goals around your Emergency Readiness.

Your first milestone is reaching Success for Emergency Readiness. Success means achieving a minimum score of 3 for each of the five Emergency Readiness questions.

Success Benchmarks

Q1. Emergency Savings

Goal: $2,500

Q2. Financial Protection

Goal: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Disability Insurance

Q3. Emergency Support Network

Goal: Three groups of people minimum

Q4. Emotional Management

Goal: Often

Q5. Adaptability
